After reading the quotes and seeing the photographs, which explain the quotes to the prefection, one can say “This is Photography”.

    • Prathap March 27, 2015 at 10:36 pm #

Thank you so much for being so kind about my photography Mr. Jagdish D. Vibhute.

  8. laurence March 28, 2015 at 12:04 am #

Thank you. My favorite quote (and I may be stating it inaccurately) is:
The most important part of a photograph is the 12 inches behind the lens.

    • Prathap March 28, 2015 at 10:58 am #

Thank you Laurence for the quote. Here is the actual quote – “The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it.” – Ansel Adams

  9. Tarun March 28, 2015 at 9:57 am #

Shot no. 6 is the best among all awesome photograph. The setting sun behind the cormorant with layer of background colours made the scene more attractive. Well done.

    • Prathap March 28, 2015 at 10:58 am #

      Thank you so much Tarun.

  10. Nubia March 29, 2015 at 11:27 pm #

My favorite images are #3 (the best, not sure what kind of flower bud it is), 7 and 9. The quotes 4, 7, 9 and 10

    • Prathap April 4, 2015 at 10:29 am #

Thank you for your kind words Nubia. I am not sure of the flower either.

  11. Nubia March 29, 2015 at 11:32 pm #

I just noticed the time in my message. It is 1:58 pm in Florida, US, sunny and unusually cool 71 degreesFahrenheit, it was in the 40’s in some places last night 🙂

  12. bruce March 30, 2015 at 7:13 pm #

Do you have a technique for dealing with halos.

    • Prathap April 4, 2015 at 10:48 am #

Hi Bruce, I didn’t fully understand your question. If you are asking how to get halos, then you have to expose the subject so that the light hitting from the back gets overexposed. If you expose it to background, then you would get a silhouette.

  16. Stephane August 24, 2017 at 9:58 pm #

“Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.”

This quote really reassure me, because I see the gap between mines and the pro’s like you.
    I will continue to work.

    • Prathap August 24, 2017 at 10:29 pm #

Hi Stephane, that’s one of the best quotes. However, note that in today’s digital world, it could be “your first 100,000 photographs are your worst.” But, I like your sentence “I will continue to work.” That’s the spirit.

  17. Saurabh August 24, 2017 at 10:16 pm #

Great images and great quotes. Very refreshing…I liked the 8th quote most; and I find the 8th photo somehow most unusual…

    • Prathap August 24, 2017 at 10:28 pm #

Thank you so much, Saurabh. Yes, the 8th photo is unusual. The entire sequence is an unusual one. Maybe I will share them some other time.
