Amazing clouds during sunrise in The Wind Munnar resort, Munnar, Kerala.
Story Behind the Photo
One of the best things that happened to us on our Munnar trip is The Wind Munnar resort. Would you believe that this photograph was taken from the balcony of our room!? Thanks to the owner of the resort Mr. Noby for building an affordable resort right next to the valley!
Every day we would watch the sunrise and the sunset right out of our window. We would spend several hours just watching these mountain range coming alive. It was breathtaking scene right at our doorstep.
There were lot of things that I wanted to cover in this photographs which demanded for the panorama. I wanted to cover orange clouds kissing the green mountain, the church, the mist, and the mountain ridges receding in the back. Since I had planned way ahead , I was able to include all these parameters in 3 horizontal photographs that I have used to create this panorama. This moment didn’t last more than few seconds.
I have made several photographs of this place during sunrise and sunset, which I would be sharing in the near future.

For photographing panorama, you have to use manual mode so that exposure between each shot does not vary. Also, there should be good enough overlap between each shot for stitching to work fine.
Good sturdy tripod is a must to take proper panorama photographs.
Next time you visit Munnar, don’t forget to check out The Wind Munnar resort. You would thank me for sure!
