    1. #13 is my choice too, because of its surreal quality as well as a crisp photo of the Gallinule. It looks as if the two birds are engaged in a ballet.

  1. #13 is my winner. Love the composition with the two birds placed just perfectly on the photo, nice bokeh with the bird in the foreground in sharp focus while the second in the background is more out-of-focus. It has motion; it has the birds in flight shaking off drops of water… It has beautiful color. It’s just perfect!

  2. Photo ED #20 best exemplifies the magnificence of flight. Every feather is fully engaged. The background color compliments the bird and does not detract from it’s magnificence.

    1. you remember those ones too ! the wine is still aruond (semotimes) the round table still aruond and the smoke i want it to be aruond but i feel sick every time i do damn it!(by the way, i found you on Etsy!! my etsy is coming up soon

    1. Thanks for the writeup. I deienitfly agree with what you are saying. I have been talking about this subject a lot lately with my mother so hopefully this will get him to see my point of view. Fingers crossed!

  3. Photo 20 is my choice. My final choice was between photos 5, 6, and 20. Making a final choice was difficult – all are very good!.

  4. All deserve to be there, Prathap, but ID#20 for me on the basis of it being the one I would most like to have taken

  5. You know, several of the selected shots are commonly seen versions on various nature sites, such as the owl in #20. But, realizing how hard it is to get good face shots, I really like #4 because you feel like you need to duck to get out of the way. Great colors, great action, great shot.

  6. I’ll say #13. Composition is perfect! Nice sharp foreground, main bird is in the rule of thirds, and Beautiful blurred background. Congratulations to all the finalists!

  7. Tough choice, but #13 would be my choice. The clarity, beautiful background which complements the main subject, and positioning in the frame were the deciding factors for me.

  8. No. 6 for me only because I love shore birds. I would love this calm, serene image on my wall in a 16×20 size in metallic. Love the soothing colors and the composition.

There are truly some exceptional images here. Very difficult to choose. Congratulations to all.

  9. Number 20 for me, a lovely shot, would have taken a lot of time and patience to get that awesome shot, love the Bokeh too.

  10. I’ll go with #7, although all the finalists have excellent shots, I think a few of them looked a little overcooked in post. Nothing like being in the right spot at the right time with the right equipment and a good eye for beauty. Congrats to all!

  11. They may be in random order but the last one (20) does it for me. Timing, action, colours, exposure, sharpness and for all I know – the serendipity factor – all come together to make a stunning image. Not unique as I’ve seen similar before but still stunning!

  12. I select Photo ID # 13. You can see all 3 Primary Colors RGB in this photograph in in-Focus and Out of Focus Range, also there are small droplets clearly visible.

  13. Photo ID #13 : It’s nice to see same bird in foreground and background and in same action. It is also gives a feeling of mirror image. Subject is sharp and in-Focus and background getting blur.

  14. My choice is Photo ID#12 and I am guessing and hoping that is the chosen winner. 🙂

P.S. – I saw 20 mesmerizing clicks with perfect timings. Best of luck to all.

  15. # 20 is perfect…for strong imagery n perfectly timed.
But if I could be ask to cuteness… then strongly recommend #12 :). Best of luck to photographers.

  16. Photo ID : #20 is my choice,

I know how difficult to get this photo.

very well timed and nice capture.

That will be my life time achievement also.

  17. Photo ID #20.

Although all are magnificent, some appear to be ‘Set-Ups’. Nothing wrong with that, just that an image taken without the aid of humans appeals to me because it seems to me that is infinitely more difficult. I do like them all. # 1 is an amazing moment, #13, 6 and 10 are beautifully composed and gorgeous ‘Wall-worthy’ art. Congratulations to them all!!! Wowzers~!!!

  18. Mind-blowing photographs & Best wishes everyone! Loved 13,16 and 20…My vote is for the colourful photo ID#13

  19. I know it’s not easy to capture birds in your camera. It needs great patience to take a perfect shot of any bird. So I want to congratulate all the participants here and appreciate their outstanding bird photography.
